In Castlewood, we are committed to working together with our school board, families, and the community to build Courage, Honesty, and Strength through education. Castlewood School District is home to approximately 330 students in grades PK-12. In 2023, Castlewood High School was selected as a National Blue Ribbon School. 
Castlewood School is a warm, caring, and inviting place where students enjoy learning. We take pride in our staff, students, education, and the many extra-curricular activities that are offered. 

The educational foundation for our students starts in preschool. Our certified preschool teacher is in-house. Technology is an essential part of our educational system. We have a 1:1 device-to-student ratio for our students. Every student in PK-2 has an assigned iPad utilized throughout the day for teaching, practicing, and reinforcing concepts. Students in grades 3-8 are assigned a Chromebook and students in 9-12 each have a Windows Touch screen Tablet/Laptop.  Our teachers are continually increasing the use of technology at all grade levels. We believe technology is vital for our students to succeed in post-secondary education and in today’s working world.
